OK gang,
I have a problem that I cant figure out !?!?!
I have a FlipAlbum CD of my brothers wedding that was mailed to me. I cannot seem to pull the pictures off the CD. They are only JPEG's but are somehow encrypted or something.
I have tried renaming them, moving to different folders, ISO buster, Clone CD and other stuff...
I have all the files ripped off the CD to my harddrive. I just cant save the stupid pictures anywhere !!
They are JUST jpeg file extensions as far as i can tell, but when you try to load them into any preview program (Photoshop, Windows preview, Paint, etc.....) it says that it is an invalid file
Can anyone tell me how to pull the pics off the CD and save them?
Thanks!
Glade

I also have flipalbum but's been a while since I've used it. Anyway, if I remember correctly, there's an option when the album's created that allows the receivers to get access to the jpegs or not. Your brother may have created with the latter option (i.e., do not allow receivers access). You might check with your brother on whether or not he enable this.

thanks for the reply.....
The CD was made by a friend of the family.
They are on the Honeymoon right now and I have made a DVD video of the wedding. I want to put some of these pics into it, but just cant seem to figure out how to save the stupid JPEG's
Does anyone know a work-around for this problem? I am pretty sure its encrypted somehow.

if you're in a hurry, quick and dirty...
screen capture/printscreen -
Corn-
I thought of that too...the problem is with FlipAlbum tho. It auto runs (thats the ONLY way i can see the full sized pics) and it runs on a seperate screen from Winbloze. You can't even alt+tab to it.
I just wish there was a CD ripper that could remove the pics.
Anyone else have an idea?i WILL learn !!!!!

Is there a branded screen as an intro? could check out the website...

Thanks Corn...
I will try that tomorrow.
There is no "branded" screen, it just goes right into the FlipAlbum "slideshow". I have found out that you CAN encrypt the files with certain versions of FlipAlbum. That has to be whats going on here.
I appreciate your help/suggestions, this thing is driving me nuts!
I have 37 Gig left out of 128.....hopefully that will be enough
Hopefully that program you suggested will rip all the encrypt out so i can save the pics i want.

The video is ok quality, but not great.
Does anyone know of a CD ripping program that would remove the encryted JPEG's from the FlipAlbum CD?
All I want is a few of the pictures.....
Thanks,

What resolution are the source pix?
What is your screen resolution?
This difference might be the difference between what you expect and what you end up with. Also, choice of codec.
