AVI synch is perfect, outputted m2v and ac3 are off

One more question. I have exported an AVI from Premiere 6.0. It looks and sounds perfect. I am encoding the video to m2v using TMPGenc and the audio to AC3 using BeSweet. I've multiplexed the two files with both TMPGenc and BBMPEG, and the audio ends up a few frames out of synch.

I've been tinkering with splitting the audio with both VirtualDub and Premiere. Both yielded similar (out-of-synch) results. I also tried not converting to AC3, and just multiplexing with the wav file. This didn't work either.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have the same problem, and I could not find a solution yet. I guess that it doesn't have anything to do with the droped frames, because out of four one hour avi files that I captured, one doesn't have any dropped frame and the mpeg is out of synk.

I'm not sure what you are trying to produce. If you can use vob files, IFOEdit will allow you to mux an ac3 and an m2v AND use a delay (positive or negative). This is of course if delay is the problem (not progressive out of sync problem).

It is under the author option. Just author, and use the created vob files.

If the delay is greater that 1 frame of audio (about 30ms), then you can use Ac3 Delay Corrector to do a big adjustment and IFOEdit to fine tune.
