Making a avi video to disk for a friend to take to her college entrance. I'm not sure what type of computer/stand alone machine will be used to view the disk. What would be the safest format to use to assure the disk can be viewed ie. VCD, DVD?

    Thanks
    Geronimo

  3. Safest format in my opinion would be standard MPEG-1 video at 352*288 (352*240 if NTSC). This is playable at almost any operatingsystem under a clean install.
