im searching all the reviews and specific features on it to see if it has a disc changer or not. It appears as if its single disc, which really sucks. What are we gonna do with 2 disc divx? get up and switch? thats such a pain. I was looking forward to getting this for divx/svcd playback, but its pretty useless if its a single disc.

  3. So its useless because you have to get up off the counch and change disks? Maybe you need to go outside and get some exercise. I mean seriously, how hard is it to get up and change disks?

With the price of this player, it's on the edge of being outpriced. MOST people don't care about Mpeg4 so this makes this player a niche item at best. Adding multidisk capability would price it right out of the ballpark.

I have an LVD-2001 and I love it. And yes, I have to get off the couch to change disks.

  4. , this post is funny. I espeicially like "if its single disc, its useless." Burn your MPEG4 on a DVD if you want high quality divx without changing disc. Jeez, getting off your seat to change a disc must be hard work these days. I mean walking a couple feet, huff huff huff, thats what I call a workout.

  5. 8) or use longer Cdr. also I have seen divx movies that are reasonable quality at 712mb.

  6. i think we have a couch potatoe here. There was a sony 200 disc dvd player which is now discontinued, that would have done the trick. If u dont want to get up and change the discs then dont burn onto VCD..as suggested burn onto DVD..

  7. Be nice now, maybe he's handicaped/disabled and it could be a problem for him.

    Probly not though...

He's probably just spoiled by the remote controlled fans, airconditioners, stereo's etc...

The world is too lazy! I just bought a new Window airconditioner, remote controlled! Oh boy whoopy doo, another remote! Yea great, air conditioner has a temp sensor and you can set it to go off at a certian room temp too. All nice little push buttons for settings, no nasty turn the knob stuff!
Yea sure great suff, NOT! I live in a rural area with crappy power, but even in the big cities it goes off sometimes too. It went off 3 times the day I bought the unit! 3 times I had to turn it back on! That digital and push button stuff is junk. If you go away durring the hot day and the power goes off for 1 minute your gonna come home to a hot house! Only reason I bought this thing was it was the only type they had!
Only 95-100 durring the day, so they sold out the air units and started stocking heaters instead now!
Oh boy I can hardly wait till next week, I can go buy Xmass lights and a tree

Anyway, the world is getting too darned lazy.
You could always set the player next to your couch or chair and run a cable for the output, at least you don't gotta get up, just lean over alittle.
