  1. ok here is my situation..

I own alot of Episodic DVDS that i would like to back up (I use them regularly when Im watching while working out but you didnt need to know that heh)

    Anyway..

Normally on most episodic DVDS.. i use DVD Shrink 2.3 .. and leave 2 episodes uncompressed and compress the other 2 (or however many) basically putting them on 2 disks..

However some DVDS that i back up (Sports Night, Sex And The City) If I divide the episode in half.. it only takes up like 3.5 gigs and I have a thing about wasted DVD Space...

So what I did .. was i used DVD2ONE full disk mode.. and using the NEW DVD Shrink 3.0 (with that one option Deep Scan I think it is called)

    and copying the whole DVD..

as we all know most Episdoc TV dvds arent the best quality anyway (sex in the city for example)

So my question is.. based on your opinion.. when doing a full disk..
what do you think is better quality DVD Shrink? (with automatic compression) or the old DVD2one...

I think I can tell the difference.. but you know when you start to look for things you tend to see more bad then good and now I cant tell the difference..

heh so based on your opinion what do you think outputs a better quality?

    thanks ahead of time.

I've never used DVDshrink to encode the entire DVD, but I have used it for DVD2one. I copied my Sports illustrated Siperbowl DVD. And I can't tell the difference from the original. It was just shy of three hours.

    Hi,

Personnaly i think both DVD2one and DVDshrink create (far) worse quality dvd's than Instant Copy. I converted many of my Stargate SG-1 DVD's using Instant copy, whilst keeping all episodes at the same compression, and they look great. Instant copy also gives you to ability to cpmpletely remove certain parts, so you can use it to create a dvd-r with two episodes (instead of 4 on the original dvd-9) and still keep the original quality.

    Hope this helps.
