help please, What am I doing wrong. I have gone through 3 different DVD+r/rw burners in 5 days, Nec 1100a, Tdk 420 and now an HP 300i, to see if it was the burner that was an issue, it doesn'yt seem to be. My problem is I am burning mpg files, all have been SVCD, as straight data, and they are readable on my computer and several other friends computers, But the discs get a disc error on my Apex 5131 player and my Apex 1500 player. Both players supposedly read DVD+r. I have burned using DVD-rom iso, udf, and udf/iso and get the same result. I brought the discs to best buy and played them in six different DVD players with the same result, disc error or no disc. I also burned a DVD+rw and changed the book type to DVD-ROM and still got the same result. It seems they are unreadable in any DVD player. I use Nero 6 to burn. Finally today I tried to play disc on my computer using PowerDVD and got an unreadable format error. My Apex 5131 has no problem read mpgs on my CD-rs written as data. My system is P III 600 with 384 ram and ATI AIW 16 MG video card. what am I doing wrong. From what I have here here and else where my players should be able to read data discs. any suggestions
Thank you for any help

What is your conversion method. You say that you burn using nero 6. How do you take the svcd's and convert them to dvd standard ?
I don't convert them I burn as data. How to put SVCD MPEG2 on a DVD±R/W without reconverting the video part of this site says if your player can read MPEG1/2 iso you can do this. APEX 5131 and 1500 should be able to read these files, it can read them on CDRs
