.avi file issues (Broken avi playback?)

I have a set of 8 .avi files that won't play in WMP or TMPGEnc. They DO play fine in Divx player 2.0, but both WMP and TMPGEnc both freeze the video on the first frame, they continue to play the audio fine, but the video stay's frozen. I've tried VCDGear, Video Fixer, and asf-avi-whatever-repair, but they haven't fixed it.

I would just delete these files and give up, but they play PERFECTLY in divx player. Any idea's?

Run it through Divfix or Virtualdub-mp3-freeze to check for bad frames
