Thread: Kenwood DV-403

Thread
  1. I recently purchased a Kenwood DV-403 from a friend it was in perfect condition but i can't seem to paly vcd's. i read on various posts that people have played burnt vcd's on it as well as it says it supports vcd's it supports cdr/cdrw my friend who i only talk to very infrequently says he had to go in the menus and change something to allow for vcd playback from a burnt vcd. the vcd's i am trying work fine in my friends dvd player that plays vcd's anyone know what i need to do? thanks

My DVD player has to have enable PBC (PlayBack Control) for it to play VCDs thats all. Its a strange option to have though I know. If your friend says its in the menus, just experiement. Some DVD players have an advanced menu that gives you even more options.
    P.S.
Is it a burned CD that you are trying to play as Im assuming that you mean an actual VCD. If it is a burned CDR, try a different media.

I dont Im afraid. Some DVD players are better at playing certain CDRs than others, so it could be that your player doesnt like the media.
