New versions of TMPGEnc and DVD2AVI no longer work together?

I downloaded the newest version TMPGEnc 2.520.54.163 and DVD2AVI 1.77.4 and installed them into ONE sub-directory. DVD2AVI frameserved to .D2V and .AC3 files when inputting VOB files. Now TMPGEnc will not open/support these 2 files. Apparently, it will not accept .AC3 delay 14ms from DVD2AVI. Priority of audio was set to 3 with VFAPI tab.

I am newbie, Pls help.

Is your problem importing the ac3 or the d2v? If it is only the ac3, thats because TMPGEnc doesn't accept ac3 as an audio input. If its both than you do have a problem and should find another version of DVD2AVI!!!

When you unziped the download ZIP file of DVD2AVI software try putting a copy of the DVD2AVI.VFP file in the TMPGEnc directory.

With the newest version of DVD2AVI (ver. 1.77.4), both video (d2v) and audio (ac3) cannot be opened in the latest version of TMPGEnc.

With the version of DVD2AVI 1.77.3, d2v is accepted and ac3 is not accepted by TMPGEnc and the movie is capabable of encoded with video only.

I think the original soundtrack is DTS. How do I frameserve it to the version acceptable to TMPGEnc?

This file is/was in the folder from the very start and I have followed the outdated "guides" at the LHS. I think the problem is with newest version of DVD2AVI with DTS soundtrack which cannot convert DTS to a format recognisable by TMPGEnc.

Don't bash something that does paticularly work for you. I love DVD2AVI. On my machine, it works. And when it does, it does beautifully, exactly doing what its supposed to do.

i have been posting this for awhile now. i installed odio dekoda. after i check for and remove bad frames, i use the source audio and video in TMPGEnc, even if the audio is ac3. no a/v sync problems anymore.

For the last time, you can't encoded using ac3 audio with TMPGEnc.

However, MPEG Tools will allow you to multiplex with ac3. Which means you will have to encode the video and then mux the ac3 after encoding the video.

Pls enlighten me how to do that. In fact, after frameserving with DVD2AVI 1.77.4, it created 1 .d2v file 4 ac3 files and 1 tds file. I can use .d2v file created with DVD2AVI 1.77.3 as video input to TMPGEnc but the rest of the audio files just would not support by TMPGEnc. Any idea how to do that. I know this is a very difficult movie.

I created mpeg with d2v as source and used the mpeg tools to multiplex the mpeg video and the AC3 audio created by DVD2AVI 1.77.4, it said it does not accept Dolby Digital (AC3).

Maybe this movie is too dificult for TMPGEnc on audio files such as .tds and Dolby Digital .ac3.
