  1. I have few queries, please help

    1. I notice when I convert my captured avi file to DivX by DRDivX, this black border appears only on sides..... how to get rid of it???

    2. Will there be any difference if i burn my VCD using direct captured avi file or using DivX file. Which will be better. DivX saves space on my hard disk.

    3. I have adobe premier 6.0, Should I edit my video using original avi file or divx converted file.

Please help no matter how simple these questions are
    Thanks

    1) There should be plenty of post's about the borders, that should give you at least a hint.

    2) Of course. With every conversion you do, the quality gets down because picture information gets lost.
Try to cap with a huffyuv codec (allmost lossless compression). If the filsize is still to much take mjpeg or divx with the highest quality settings your machine can handle. I'm not exactly sure wich is less worse , butt i think divx beats mjpeg (ask an expert) :P

    3) Edit the original. I gues you capture, then encode to divx to store it on harddisk and just make vcd with some of your movies.
In theory, for best quality, you should cap with a 'lossless' codec HUFFYUV end edit the movie for the final result i.e. VCD.
But in real life, when you dont know from the start which is gonna be a VCD someday and you store everything by default with divx on harddisk, i think it's not really a difference when to edit.

    Hope it helps
    Keep on capping it,
    I'll keep on downloading it.
