Looking to make Panasonic S35 region-free

Hi everybody. I am about to buy Panasonic S35 DVD player. I would like to make it zone-free. There are two messages that are actually posted as hacks for this model. One of them is a question just like mine, the other one is a quick tutorial for some diagnostics. I could not understand what it was for.

Can anyone provide me with detailed instructions on how to make this DVD player (Panasonic S35) zone-free as well as I software or tools I need for that.

It seems most Panasonic DVD players can only be made region free with a firmware update. Some independant dealers will be willing to do this for you at or after the point of purchase. Beware though they may charge an extra fee for this service.

What about removing Macrovision--is it possible with this DVD player?
