Sony DVP-S335 stops playing at random...

Hi everyone...

We bought our Sony DVP-S335 3 years ago but recently it just stops playing at random times... We (try) to use this stubborn player for everything we can everything... cd's/DVD's/VCD (brand: vivastar)/xVCD header trick/DVD-r (brand: inifiniti)

But even when playing an original, new, clean audio CD, the player stops, turns itself off completely and then goes back into Standby mode. This is really weird and irritating. I have to admit that we use the player almost every day, but I think that wouldn't be a problem for a brand like Sony.
What could be causing this and how can this be solved?

The DVD player enters standby mode every 10 minutes or so...

My Sony 725 started doing this, apparently it was something to do will the power supply. I sold it on ebay and got myself a ns905
