Hi.
I've got a 189 Meg AVI that only shows a 55 sec "ad" for some get rich quick book and then stops. (This happens in any player or editor I try.) I'm assuming the wanted video is after the ad. Does anyone know how I can remove the ad and view the rest of the file?
Someone in the Virtual Dub Forum said it was multiple, back-to-back video streams and that AVIEdit (from Microsoft's old Win32 VFW SDK) could separate them. The only AVIEdit I could find is by Alexander Milukov. I don't think it has any relationship to Microsoft's AVIEdit--and I couldn't find how to split the 2 streams with it--if that's what I have...
This is my current Quest! Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks, Hari.

I think you're assuming too much! Looks like you got one of the bogus files that are floating around. D/L'd from the net I would guess?Originally Posted by Hari Seldon"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa
A DV capture of 55 sec yields about 190-200 megs. I agree with Zippy and would not assume that your video includes anything more than what you have seen.
You probably should double-check your sources...
Yeah, downloaded. So you think the rest of it is... what, junk?
Thanks for your help,
Hari.
If you open the file im media player what does it show the playtime as ?

I'm guessing you downloaded it from kazaa or something, looks as if you got screwed by someone who just put their ad on a huge file and renamed it.
Yes, and it didn't even feel that good......looks as if you got screwed by someone ...
I guess I'll go do something else with my life...
Thanks again,
Hari.
