  1. IFO EDIT WONT CREAT IFO`S ON MY MERGED VOB IT SAYS

"could not find any VOB unit in VOB file(s) "

    what does this mean ?

  2. Try renaming your merged VOB's in this format:

    VTS_01_01.VOB
    VTS_01_02.VOB
    VTS_01_03.VOB
    VTS_01_04.VOB

...and so on (up to VTS_01_09.VOB max).
Then click "create IFOs" then select VTS_01_01.VOB, hit open, then OK.

it might have something to do with your vob file being larger than 1024mb so it won't be recognized as a valid dvd

  6. IS THERE ANY WAY AROUND THIS ?

  7. Get Vstrip from:

    http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/vstrip.html

It will split the 2GB VOB to two 1024MB VOB's without rerendering. It's very fast & easy.

    or......

    Chopper XP from:
    http://www.digital-miner.com/

    It works very well too.

  8. i cant seem to work either of these programs can someone please tell me ?

  9. Ok.....
    Let's use Chopper XP.
Let me know when you're ready......

  10. Move your VOB to an empty directory, then rename it to VTS_01_1.VOB, then use IFOedit to create your IFOs.

I don't know much about the DVD spec, but all DVDs I read the largest VOB is 1 GB, this maybe a problem.

You can try importing your VOB into DVDlab, do not demux it, then create menus/chapters/whatever and the resulting DVD will have VOBs less than 1GB each.

  12. Ok then....
    Run Chopper XP-
From the "Options" menu... choose "Alternate time detetction" & "Clear marked positions on file open"
From the "File" menu... choose "Open" select the VOB you want to split.
You should see the total time of the clip in the lower right hand corner- right over the "Mark out" button.
I found you need to play the video for a second then hit "stop" before the "Mark in" button will work.
After you open the Vob file using the menu, play the video and then use the mark in and mark out buttons to set the start and end positions from which to extract the vob file. In your case- after you set the "mark in" point, simply drag the slider to the halfway point of the clip. When it's in the center, hit the "Mark out" button.
After you set the mark in and mark out positions, click Save vob from the file menu.Save the first section as VTS_01_1.VOB (save it in a different directory so as to not overight your original clip). Now, With the slider still in the "mark out" position, hit the "Mark in" button, then drag the slider to the end of the clip and hit the "mark out" button.
Click Save vob from the file menu. Save the second section as VTS_01_2.VOB
You should now have two VOB's of 1024MB or less each.
Run them through IfoEdit, select "Create IFOs", open the new VTS_01_1.VOB, hit "Ok" and let IfoEdit do it's thing. When It's done you should have:

    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO

At this point you should be good to go! Give it a shot.......

use isobuster (freeware on this forum) to stip your svcds into 3 seperate mpeg files

use any video editing software(i.e. neodvd ,video sudio 6, pinnacle studio 8 , etc) convert the movie to dvd

or use the program that u use to convert your svcds to vob, but don't convert them to one large file, convert them to 2 files and then u can use ifoedit
