  1. correct, cleanplay is still around but i was wondering about a software that would either scan my already downloaded movies or clean them as i rip them to hard drive.

  2. Computers don't understand english and can't see nudity.

  3. oh who would of known.... <roll eyes>
Correct, Computers only see binary, Programs only see data that they are programed to see, however (such as clearplay) They have "filters" you download and they are kinda like a codec that tells the dvd player on the computer (unless your talking about the clearplay dvd player) what information to skip/mute etc.. its basically a program that tells other programs what to do with certain parts of the movie.

I'm not aware of an anti-boobies or anti-cuss filter system for video, no.
    That's honestly not even plausible.

Watch something else if you're offended by fictional content that shows the natural human form or uses a rich vocabulary to convey the message of the piece (as desired by the writer or director).

I agree some things are unnecessary in films, but I'll deconstruct the DVD, edit it out, and re-author.
It's not automated. And I rarely bother with this.

My TV remote also comes with a MUTE button. And the DVD player has a FF button.

    "for KIDS",

    OR

    "for certain PARENTS" ?

P.S.: Speaking of cartoons, I really hope "Woody Woodpecker Polka"
hasn't ever been modified or mutilated ( y' know,
nobody knows what happens inside the head of a professional censor )

Clearplay has human beings that watch every video and mark all the "objectionable" parts. That part is not automated.

I am far from a basic pc user, but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of any programs that are available that will do the brunt work for me.
Best to make a new thread rather than opening an old one where most ideas are obsolete, this thread is closed.
