    any idea why i get quite ac3 audio track from an avi and how i should make it louder?

    Have u got AC3 Filter installed? If yes, goto ac3 properties through Control Panel and move the gain control sliders up. Also disable the feature that compensates for Vol differences (i forgot what it's called, u will find somewhere at the center top of the config window)
