    hi!!

I have 2 AVI files that i want to join.

I understand that i can use VirtualDub for the job. I have tried but can't make it work. There is no doubt that i am doing something wrong.

So could someone please tell me excactely what to do.

It doesn't have to be in virutal dub...can surely be another program...

    thanks

    Load avi 1.
Load avi 2 by going "Append AVI segment"
A prerequisite is that both parts must have the same properties - bitrates, codecs, frame size, frame rate & cetera.
If not, one of them has to be reencoded to match the other 100%.
This is not a VirtalDub quirk - that's how things have to be, to join AVI files.
But tell me - Why do you have to join them?

I prefer AVIDemux for joining because it can also do VBR MP3 audio, which virtualdub baulks at. Just make sure you say yet to reindexing and time mapping if asked.

I like VirtualDubMod. Make sure the marker is where you want the next video to start. Otherwise you can append a file right in the middle of your original.
