  5. You can get the mp4 URLs from that web site using URLSnooper. Copy and paste the URL into a web browser to download.

    I used it to download a few different videos from that site. As others have pointed out, the URL you gave in the first post doesn't lead to a video.

    For example I got this url from one of the videos there:

    http://st132.u1.videomega.tv/v/f9f691474a39b182076a351f3b95e5b1.mp4?st=gOmDjq2UclIuPoK...Mval9kIfTfEiFA

    I discovered you can right click on a video while playing in IE and select Save Video As...! The site appears to only let you view one video (or at least one instance of a video) at a time. So you have to terminate the playing video and retry the download.

    for example if i give you this url http://videomega.tv/?ref=RPN8N6UEF77FEU6N8NPR
    you can't play the video because you must go through the site before

  11. You can also right click on the video and view the page source before playing the video and see the link to the mp4 file:

  12. Hi, the methods described above didn't work for me. On IE I tried to 'right-click' on the video and select 'save video' but It gave me the 'File Not Found' error, like what happens with all download mangers and other browsers I've tried.

    Eg.
    http://st132.u1.videomega.tv/v/f9f691474a39b182076a351f3b95e5b1.mp4?st=gOmDjq2UclIuPoK...Mval9kIfTfEiFA

    If I state the URL like this:
    http://st132.u1.videomega.tv/v/f9f691474a39b182076a351f3b95e5b1.mp4

    I get a '403 Forbidden' error.

    What worked for me though (on Chromium with PepperFlash), was allowing the video or movie to fully buffer, then going to this directory:
    %localappdata%\Chromium\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash

    Then looking for a .TMP file that was the same size as the fully buffered one (which I used FVD extension to get the file size), and simply copied that file to another location on my local disk and renamed it to whatever the name was on VideoMega.TV with a .MP4 file extension.

    Sometimes you have to refresh the 'Shockwave Flash' directory as the .TMP file shows up as being 0KB in size. Also you have to make sure that the tab where the video is fully buffered remains open, otherwise the .TMP file will be auto deleted immediately when the tab closes.

    hi
    you must keep the original link, for this to work (in red this is essential)

    Code:
    http://st132.u1.videomega.tv/v/f9f691474a39b182076a351f3b95e5b1.mp4?st=gOmDjq2UclIuPoKu1xY2VQ&hash=nOjPHkblMval9kIfTfEiFA

    When I enter the original link as you describe in any browser or download manger I get a 'File Not Found on Sever' error. But it doesn't matter because, like I mentioned above, I found a way that works for me, thought that info would be helpful to others also.

    If you right click on the link in your message (or my quote here) can you Save Link As (Firefox) or Save Target As (in IE)? Both browsers work for me. Remember, the site only lets you view or download one video at a time.

    In FireFox, when I use your method for this basic blank video it seems to work fine:
    http://videomega.tv/?ref=HUDeDgOgAO

    When I try it on other movie files, it just downloads a file with a name like '9f29ed87fde06cfa1407a84973f20623.mp4' that is only 162 bytes in size. Furthermore if I open this file in notepad, this is the data it contains (see below):

    Code:
    <html>
    <head><title>404 Not Found</title></head>
    <body bgcolor="white">
    <center><h1>404 Not Found</h1></center>
    <hr><center>nginx</center>
    </body>
    </html>
    Try your method with this file and see if the same thing happens:
    http://videomega.tv/?ref=fKHMAPEDLKKLDEPAMHKf

    Yes, with that particular page you cannot download the video with Firefox -- because Firefox doesn't have the ability to retry the link after it fails. But IE has the ability to retry the download. So you start playing the video in IE, right click and select Save Video, let it fail but open IE's Download window, then close the browser that's playing the video, then select Retry in the Download window.

    In Firefox you can right click on the video while it's playing and select Copy Video Location to get the URL. But if you use that URL in Firefox it will attempt to play the MP4 file rather than download it. But you can use that URL in any other program that lets you download.

    Is this VLC Media Player ?

    For now I guess I'll stick to fully buffering the file, then manually copying the temp file, but thanks for the help guys.

  22. Hello, dear all.

    When I try to open any page from Videomega using Firefox most of times I get the message below:

    "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported."

    Opening any Videomega.tv's.. Link with Chrome it's OK. But it runs without issues most of times.

    1) How can I use youtube-dl to get some video from there? Any tips or tutorial?

    2) Do I need to log in on the site to get something work for download or find any valid video link?

    3) Videomega is a protected site? Why is so hard to download something from there?

    Thanks for your time!

    Best regards.

    PS: for me URLSnooper and Videodownloadhelper doesn't work.

    PS: Videodownloadhelper can "detect" some video from the site. But, when I try to download it, it's only get a tiny 200 kb file at the final result!

    Don't ask what movie is this

    haha, well after you have that, put it in IDM by "Add Url"

    VOILA

    downloading..

    Yeah, the VideoMega sites are frustrating, no doubt by conscious design; here's what worked for me:

    Go to http://videodownloaderpro.net/?utm_source=savefrom&utm_medium=main_page_block&utm_campaign=videopro and install Video Downloader Pro into Chrome browser (won't work with Firefox, but should work with Internet Explorer...if you're crazy enough to use Internet Explorer....). If this link is no longer correct, just Google for "Video Downloader Pro" to find it, etc. Anyway, install the thing in your browser.

    Once you have Video Downloader Pro installed, use Chrome to go to whatever VideoMega video you want to download. Start the video playing, and let it buffer all the way. That part's critical; it MUST completely buffer before you try to download the file.

    Once the video completely buffers, download the file using Video Downloader Pro, according to their directions. Basically, you click on the Video Downloader Pro button (normally located by default at the upper right corner of the browser screen), then click on the video file name shown there to start the download as per their instructions, etc.

    Now, look at the lower left corner of your screen. If you see the video downloading, you're in luck. If you see the word FAILED, well, try something else....
