You're in the newbie/general discussion section, so I'd say you are good to go. What error did you get, and which burning program are you using? Since your title includes VSO ConvertX, I'm assuming you were burning from within it?

Well, we won't be able to help unless we know what type of error message you get.

Have you tried exporting your results from ConvertX to the hard drive instead of burning? Then burn to a disc with ImgBurn?

According to the VSO forums, this can be caused by a number of issues, including poor media, bad connections to the optical drive, a flaky power supply or even power saving features seen in Windows 7 and 8.

I still say you should output to the hard drive and burn it with ImgBurn. If you still have an issue, post the ImgBurn log file, which can be found by clicking Help-->ImgBurn Logs in ImgBurn.
