I captured an HD tv show from my DVR, and convereted to an MPG using HDTV2MPEG (v.1.11.93).
The resulting MPEG is fine, and the audio is in synch. However, when I burn it to a DVD (either using NERO or Sonic MyDVD), the audio is severely out of synch (almost a complete second).
Any suggestions?

Use a authoring program that doesn't change or re-encode the video before burning like Nero too often does. If it's DVD compliant, then it shouldn't be re-encoded, just authored and burned. Authoring shouldn't change it, just format it to the DVD structure. You can see the DVD format, structure and specifications in 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left on this page.
You should also be able to turn off the re-encoding in Nero. I would try playing the VIDEO_TS folder before burning it to see if the video is in sync. VLC Media Player can do that. You could also try a freeware standalone authoring program like GUI for dvd author.
And welcome to our forums.
