    Im using virtualdub and delogo to remove some onscreen bits.My question is why is my outfile so massive.The original avi is only 58mb but the output avi is over 4gbs! How do I rectivy this?

    Learn how to use VirtualDub and learn the exact meaning of what "AVI" is.
    Once you make changes to the video file....you need to add the compression back to the file.

    Yup, just select Video->Compression and select xvid codec.

  4. Pretty much all video filtering involves decompressing the source to uncompressed YUV or RGB before filtering. If you want your video compressed again you have to select a compression codec in VirtualDub.
