    Since replacing a broken remote tried to play old home video prior to transfer to DVD . Only played once now will not play any tape FF & reverse not working either .Can anybody help me please.

    If the unit is under warranty do that first, if the unit is not under warranty unplug the unit, place it on a table and remove the conver, you'll need to check the belts in the unit, I suspect one has snaped, or become disconnected.
