    Hi

    I'm just wondering where I can get some samples of video so I can make a test Mini-DVD for betatesting and not worry about copyrights etc

    ideally it would be less than 10Mb and anything will do, paint drying, grass growing so basically anything as long as I can make it into a MiniDVD with the correct aspect ratio etc

    I've tried searching using Google but all I get are porn or warez which I don't want

    I was going to capture my own but at the minute I can't due to lack of video in, so I was hoping one of you guys have a free sample of your own capturing you would donate to me

    cheers

  2. if it can be anything, you could use AVISynth and make a simple script:
    Code:
    bartest()
    That will make a 1 hour barcode test that also has sound that tests your stereo speakers.

    Just an idea, I use it from time to time to test things.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    I'm lost regarding avisynth as I haven't used it much recently only in the distant past

    I tried virtualdub and opened some of the example scripts from avisynth and they worked fine when using preview but the bartest() avs script I wrote didn't

    but seeing as the syntax.avs example comes up just fine with a barcode and an annoying test tone then that will do for me

    cheers

  6. Hi,
    just a thought on video samples. If you have an editing software like Ulead video studio, they usually come with short samples in different formats including DVD MPEG2 format that you can just join few of them and make a short movie. I am not 100% sure but I do not think they are copyrighted since they come as part of the software. If you cannot use them as a sample, so what are those good for anyways.
