Greetings
when I play avi+srt, when the srt has intervals, I get italics on screen.
but when I try to create a dvd (using tmpgenc) the italics property was lost,
i.e. the subtitle was displayed with etc.
How can I display italics when converting to dvd?
thanks

SubRip (.srt) was originally developed to be without styling. Some players decode styling in it anyway, but many do not.
To be safe, and standard compliant, use a subtitle format that supports styling, e.g. SAMI (.smi), SubStation Alpha (.ssa) or Advanced SubStation Alpha (.ass), whichever your encoder supports.
