My girl videoed me in a bike race http://youtu.be/5OZzYkdlXgg but she recorded it in portrait. I've decided I want to crop the top and bottom to get 4:3 or the like.
So I downloaded virtualdub64 (I'm running win7) and I downloaded QuickTime64.vdplugin and put it in the same directory as Veedub64.exe and drag the video to the virtualdub 1.9.11 window and get the following error message ".... is of an unknown or unsupported file type"
So clearly I've done something wrong, but what?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Virtualdub is great and all, but for this kind of file (variable framerate h.264) use something like avidemux instead.

Thanks smrpix, I downloaded the 64bit version of avidemux and opened the video. Have struck two problems;
1. can't find the function to rotate the video 90deg clockwise
2. can't find the function to crop the video
Edit: I'll take that back, figured out how to activate the filters, then it became all too easy. ThanksLast edited by mikesbytes; 23rd Jun 2013 at 19:21.
