  1. I'm trying to convert the clips I've downloaded off Youtube(HD) using VirtualDub, but the problem is with Xvid compression and Lame MP3 audio, the video bitrate always comes down to 1kBps even if I set it to 125Kbps(=1000kbps)... this used to work for me before, but now virtualdub doesn't even decode the video frame when I shift somehere to the middle of the video... I've installed the K-Lite Mega Codec pack 5.10 and have a few filters in the plugins folder of Virtualdub... The properties of the video file as reported by Mediainfo are as follows:

The audio too, doesn't encode at all... The Audio data in the status windows says 0...

    The plugins in Virtualdub are:

DShowInputfilter.vdf and MP4InputDriver.vdf... Can any of me tell me whats going wrong??

Probably because of the avc video. Try something else like handbrake, xvid4psp or avidemux or do you have to use some virtualdub filters?

  3. well, yeah the problem is I've got only 224MB of RAM... So VirtualDub is the only feasible option... The vid converts in Virtualdubmod with a Avisynth script, but the output is too pixelated... So that is out... Beyond that I've no idea... I could do this no sweat before, but I dunno, of late it doesn't seem to be working...
