Hi guys
So i bought a vado HD, to use with FCE
and i've made a couple things with FCE - however, they're not exporting as they should (or...the way i want them to)
I open the file (movie) and it plays in HD fine, however when i move the file into FCE and try to export it, it aways resizes the video to 720 x 576p (or near enough)
i have tried nearly EVERYTHING andi just can't get FCE to export anything in HD.... which is really ticking me off.
The vado only records in .AVI format if this is any help........
This kind of thing is really ticking me off, so any help would be much appreciated
thanks

Did you set your FCE preferences to create the Project in HD from the start?
Here are the steps from the manual:
Step 1: Connect your HDV camcorder to your computer via FireWire
(this would be your Vado HD)
Step 2: Choose the appropriate Apple Intermediate Codec
HDV Easy Setup that matches your footage
FCE will only do one of the following three:
Format Easy Setup Dimensions Video data rate
1080i60 HDV - 1080i60 1920 x 1080 25 Mbps
1080i50 HDV - 1080i50 1920 x 1080 25 Mbps
720p30 HDV - 720p30 1280 x 720 18.3 Mbps
( done in your case)
Step 4: Edit your HDV clips into a sequence
Step 5: Reencode and output back to tape, or export to a QuickTime
movie, setting the QT movie to match the HDV Eassy Setup you chose."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
