I recently had to replace my HDHomerun HDR3 unit with a HDHomerun Connect unit.
For years I have been recording OTA to a system running SageTV 7 and using mencoder to use the edl files that SageTV produces to remove the commercials.
Now I seem to be having a problem with non-linear audio sync drift. Beginning of the recording seems to be about -0.25 seconds but it rapidly deteriorates so I cannot use the audio sync correction option in mencoder to correct for the drift.
I am not transcoding the video or audio, input MPG is straight through to output MPG using command: mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy -edl inputfile.edl inputfile.mpg -o output.mpg
Odd thing is if I play back the recording using the raw Sage MPG plus the EDL file using Kodi the audio sync is perfect.
I want to scrub the commercials and make the video file stand alone apart from Kodi and EDL playback.
Not really sure if this is related to the HDHomerun tuner, it may be a coincidence. I just updated comskip and mencoder today to the latest releases but that did not solve the problem.

Any ideas?
