I have a dvdrip with makemkv which I want to reencode (mpeg2 to h264). The problem is that there are many of those files and only some have multiple angles in them. What software would be easiest/quickest? My primary tool is a macbook, I also have a Ubuntu and Win7 box.

    Cheers,
    Sven

You could try handbrake and see how it handles it. But I guess it will tricky with a multiple angle mkv....

Handbrake takes only the first video track to the encode :/

Easiest would be to use the dvd source directly instead of the mkv.

Or maybe try mkvmergegui to just extract the tracks you want.

Yes, It looks like I need to extract the tracks and process them separately. Then even Handbrake can help me.

I wish there was a Xin1generator + encoder thingy for DVDs too.
