  1. I am trying to rip some video from separate DVDs to combine them onto one DVD with a menu that will allow me to select each video. The problem I'm having is that I can't find a program that will do this AND keep the original chapter markers.

I have tried ripping to VOB, ISO, and MKV to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't help. The ripped files have the chapter markers, but they are lost when I combine them onto a DVD with a menu. I have DVDFAB 9 and Freemake Video Converter, but I am willing to buy another program if it will do what I need. Does anyone have any recommendations for programs that can do this?

    Try dvdremake.

  3. Well dvdremake won't rip the dvds, but it will allow you to combine them. You may want to try dvdshrink to rip the movie portion of the dvd and keep the chapters intact.

  4. dvdremake wasn't very intuitive so I gave up trying to figure it out.

I found a program called Womble EasyDVD, which is very easy to use and
retains the chapter markers perfectly. It also creates highly
customizable menus. Unfortunately, it doesn't shrink the final ISO to
the right size. It ends up being slightly too big to burn on the DVD.
So I just used it to create an ISO that is not shrinked to fit and
then I used dvdshrink to shrink the ISO down to the right size. This
    produced a perfect result.

  5. Yeah dvdremake is definitely for advanced editing and even with the separate help file you can download, it still takes a while to learn. Glad you got it sorted out!
