  1. hi, is there any possible way to configure ffdshow with vlc? i lot more movies using vlc especially x264 with AC3 audio, my intention is to get good audio output like dolby prologic II,dolby sorround etc.

    vlc is self-contained and does not use external filters such as ffdshow.
    Audio output options can be configured in the Tools->Preferences menu, including Dolby Surround.
    Select Show Settings=All and click on Audio.

    Same thing applies. As I said, vlc is self-contained and does not use external filters.
    You control the audio processing (eq, etc) through vlc's own settings.
