I have a film encoded in NTSC, it is 1 1/2 hours long.
It came on VCD originally and any copies of this VCD work fine in standalone DVD players
The problem starts if I put it on my computer as an .mpeg or even as a .dat, when I play it in any player the player insists that the film is 7 1/2 minutes long.
I have tried to re-encode the file with Tmpgenc, Procoder & Cleaner. If they start at all they freak out around the seven minute mark.
I have used MPEG Corrector and this seemed to have no effect.
If anyone can enlighten me, please do, I'm buggered if I can fugure it out.
If I don't encode this to PAL I am in danger of being knocked off by my mates. Help, the situation is desperate.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Have you tried de-multiplexing and then re-multiplexing???
-
Demultiplex:
Is when you split the video and audio to separate files.
Multiplex:
Is when you join the video and audio to one single file.
Hope That Helps!!! :P -
Hi,
Yes I have tried with Tmpgenc with both simple and normal de-multiplex and it freaks at the same point about seven and one half minutes into the movie.
I'm stuck for ideas.
