  1. I have some videos that are 29.970 frame rate that I want to convert to DVD.

I'm going to be using Mainconcept to encode and need to ask the following:

    1) Do I set the frame to 23.976 or just leave it at 29.970?

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

  2. apps round or name the files differently. some would call that 30fps. try it, the source shouldn't make any difference to the encoder, it will create dvd spec mpeg2 if it is set correctly. use default dvd spec mpeg2 settings for the output.

Leave it at 29.97fps. If they're movies and are really supposed to be 23.976fps (won't know for sure without samples), most likely the damage has already been done, and the proper framerate is unrecoverable. And even if it is recoverable, you'd need AviSynth to fix it.
