    Having endless hassles finding the simplest speed video downloader that doesn't require a degree to understand and decipher....

    Get a downloader with a frontend where you just copy and paste the url. Like VSO Downloader, GetFLV, etc.

    But you will NOT find any software that supports ALL sites...you must then learn to get the dircect stream url(using for example urlsnooper) and then use rtmpdump ,livestreamer, youtube-dl, ...yep. complex and booring.
