You may be able to read and copy files from them with Isobuster without finalising.

You mention DVD disc's, so here is how to finalize these:

Get a copy of ImgBurn -
Insert the problem DVD in your PC-drive and launch ImgBurn.
Then use menu "Tools / Drive / Close / Track" - it will take a minute or so
Then use menu "Tools / Drive / Close / Session" - it will take a minute or so
Then use menu "Tools / Drive / Close / Drive" - it will take a few seconds

Your problem DVD should now be finalized and you should be able to use it as a normal DVD.

I got ImgBurn, but Drive cannot be open in Tools.
When I choose "Verify Disc" or "Discovery" I can open Tools - Drive - Close - Track
However, after letting work Track a few minutes

at Session - I get the message that "I/O error! bla, bla, bla, Medium Not Present - Tray Closed.

Further more, the third is cold "Disc" - not "Drive"

(I have lived in the UK and I did not finalize about 50 DVDs

    Thank you, Brgds

  6. The pro version of IsoBuster is the only sure way to extract the video if you can't get the camcorder to finalize, just for fun you might try DVDDecrypter as some people have reported success finalizing a DVD.

    Thank you

However, the recorder is a Sony DVD Recorder RDR -HXD710, but I cannot afford to back to the UK.
The same time I realy need to finalize them. I did not have any experience with such things before, so ....
