I just recently reinstalled xp, and before i installed my codecs and stuff, i nstalled sp2. Now all of my divx, xvids and eall those other file formats all come out dark, green and other colours. What can i do to fix it, is there a codec pack i can get that is compatible with sp2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Usually installing a codec pack is what can cause that problem, so I wouldn't try one to cure it. Try installing ffdshow. It's not a codec pack, but can handle most formats. In the case of Xvid, a corrupted codec can cause pink and green blotches. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
I don't know what SP2 would have to do with the problem. But you might try VLC and if it works, then you likely have a codec problem. -
If it's not a codec problem, another possibility when you do a re-install is your graphics card settings and video player settings get reset. This happened to another poster very recently if you do a search.
Check your video overlay settings.
