Why would you WANT to do that?
(I'm sure there's apps that can mux VC-1 into those, and likely to MPEG2-TS as well)

MKVmergegui can mux anything into an MKV.

    MP4Box does it for MP4.

-- I assume you do know that muxing doesn't change the codec. If you want to reencode to x264, say, (commonly found in MKVs) you need a different tool.

Wmv, mkv and mp4 are not video formats they're container formats. If you actually want to remux, you can do it with ffmpeg:
    Code:
    ffmpeg -i input.wmv -c copy output.mkv

So you don't need to to mux, you need to reencode.
Avidemux works. Can open WMV and save as MKV with AVC video and AAC audio.
I just tried it on a short file.

Or any of the many other programs recommended above.

Please don't hijack other threads. I'm moving you to a new thread.

    Yep. Try ffmpeg.

ANd forget mp4. It doesn't support wmv2/wmv3 codecs.

  8. Video To Video Converter will do it (MKV). It probably uses ffmpeg for the work so it'll do what mzso suggested, only via a GUI instead of a command line. There's a portable version of VtVC so you don't need to install it. Just download it and unzip it.

Open a WMV file, when the list of conversion presets opens, choose "direct stream copy". On the right select MKV as the output container, then click "okay". The job will be added to the queue. Click on "convert" (it'll just remux despite the need to use the convert button).

Things would be clearer if we knew why you wanted to do this.
If you have an app/player, etc. that won't play WMV then it almost certainly will not be able to play WMV in an MKV either.
You'll need to convert it to a different video format, as my previous post.

gdsmux which comes in the Haali Media Splitter package can mux WMV into MKV containers. Well, it can with VC-1 for sure so I assume that other types of WMV work as well. I was testing VC-1 encoding recently and I had a need to get it into an MKV container so I actually did this.
