What is the easiest way to remove subtitles from an AVI video file before I burn it to DVD? I download the subtitle workshop, but I can't get it to work right, or I'm just not understanding how to delete them from the video stream. Can anyone please assist me? Thank you.

You make subtitles with subtitle workshop.

If the subtitles are permanent in the avi video you must either crop or blur them away, see https://forum.videohelp.com/topic343438.html#1794539

I don't think the subtitles are permanent in the AVI file 'cuz there is a separate srt (which I know is the subtitle file) in the folder with the AVI. Subtitle workshop says you can delete subtitles, but do they mean from the video itself?

Just delete the srt. If still subtitles they are probably permanent.

Or do you mean that you want to edit the subtitles srt file?

You've made two posts now in your year and a half here, both digging up old threads to offer useless advice. He thanked Baldrick twice. How many more times would you like him to thank Baldrick? Of course he figured it out after following Baldrick's advice.
