  1. Their web site and manual says yes, but someone posted here awhile ago saying his S370 did not play them and he had to get an LG BD player instead. I have DVD+R's with vinyl rips that I want to play. If it can't read those discs, I can't buy one. My Oppo BDP-83 and cheap LG DVD player plays them.

    Thanks!

  3. It's highly unlikely on the face of it that a currently available standalone player can't play properly authored/burnt DVD+R discs. In the early days of DVD, it sometimes mattered.

My Sony BDP-S360 does, a friend's BDP-S470 does. No doubt someone will be along who will confirm for you that the player has no problem with DVD+R discs.

I suspect that the poster who reported it couldn't was either using bad discs or it was user error.

    Good luck.

    What is a vinyl rip?
Same thing as a CD rip but for LP's.

Hopefully that is the case. Thanks!

My Sony BSP-BX37 (aka BDP-S370) plays DVD +R and -R fine. No problems with any of them.

I suspect that poster was dealing with encoding issues. The codec support for the S370 and XBox360 differ.

    PCM audio or other codec?

If something strange post a sample and I'll test it on my S370.

  7. Got the player, and it does play DVD+R just fine, as well as my 96khz/24bit audio flac (vinyl rip) files.

    Thanks!
