    Hello Guys,

I wish to download this playlist and majority of other playlists on youtube by the same user.

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFp56HbJTNIuj79e0iyLfnQZKFesdCFWm

    Now, when I go to
    http://www.keepvid.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DSotsOvnZ6l0%26...LfnQZKFesdCFWm

It gives me various options, can you please help me deciding which resolution to download. I cannot make out the original resolution the user might have uploaded in (I don't want to waste my bandwidth of youtube upscaled video, as I can do it myself).

Also, why is WebM filesize for same resolution lower in size than MP4.

I also wish to download similar kind of videos by other users such as -
    https://www.youtube.com/user/CareerLauncherMedia
    https://www.youtube.com/user/BullsEyeAdmin

Can you please tell what original resolution these users might have uploaded their videos in?

I would be later watching these videos on my 720p laptop and 480p mobile.

    Thanks
    Suhaib

YouTube never upscales on it's own so the highest resolution available for a video is either the resolution of the source video or a downscale of the source.

For example, if you upload 768x576 is gets resized down to 640x480 by YouTube because they love to ignore the PAL standard. So the original resolution is lost for every viewer. Another example, if you upload 1280x960 it gets downscaled to 720p (960x720) (rather than up to 1080p) and so on. Videos that do not fit exactly any of the resolutions YouTube offers are downscaled to the nearest lower resolution standard YouTube offers (and additionally to all of the ones below that one of course).
