  1. Hi,

I have been trying to use some of my software to capture to MPEG with my WinTV-PCI card. The problem is they do not work with the standard drivers. When I install the WDM drivers I keep getting an error that the programs have caused an error in the file quartz.dll.

I have no idea what this means and cannot seem to find an answer on Windows Knowledge base.

    Any ideas?

  2. This might (or might not) be worth a shot:

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. Warning Will Robinson! Not all .AVI capture software will work with
WDM drivers! Although WDM is a much better capture system, Ive
only found a few programs that are happy with it. Why, I dont
know... it puzzles me why the developers dont go with the newer
and/or current standards when writing there software.

Ive used the WinTV-GO card and was exteamly happy with it.
I think AVI_IO was the pick of software I used, been a while
    back.

If Im reading you right, your trying to use 'software MPEG1 '
capture software with your card... Ill tell you in advance,
the quality is not very good... For general PC playback is
okay otherwise look into alternative methods.

    Good luck!
