    I am looking to get a new dvd player right now I have a DVP642 it does not play WM files, which dvd player I do not need Blue Ray thats plays DVDrs CDrs & all file types would be a upgrade from my DVP642 for $60 or less

    Do you mean Windows Media Audio or Windows Media Video? The Philips player does NOT play WMV.

    Note that high def video playback is NOT supported in DVD players. If you want to play high def WMV or Divx/Xvid files, you generally need a media player like the Western Digital HDTV.

    Huh? My 5990 plays WMV/WMA. Not all types of them (I think it won't play WM9Pro, for example), but it does definitely handle WMV and WMA.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
