I have had VobSub 2.23 installed on the desktop running WinXP for several years now. Today SubResync and SubMux will not run. Opening them does nothing with no errors. I tried a newly downloaded copy and installed and it couldn't find VOBSUB.DLL. I checked, it was in ...system32 as it should have been. A complete uninstall, reboot and reinstall removed that error but still nothing runs. What gives?
Help appreciated, Hibbs.

Do you have IE8? Try these. Just replace the original ones. Keep the original with bak extension.

Thanks drgt.
I downloaded the linked .rar file, unzipped and placed the two .exe's in the Gabest/VobSub folder and all is well. I did recently install IE8, is that the cause? IE8 sometimes has trouble connecting to the internet and asks to retry. Never had this problem with IE7.

You are welcome.
Yes IE8 is the cause for this, among others!
Microsoft! Love it or hate it.
Just do all the updates (go to the site, not just automatic) and see if that helps.
You can go back to IE7 or use Firefox.
