I have a Sony TVR-33E miniDV digital handy cam. In all respects a nice single CCD camera. However, I have been shooting a lot of aircraft videos recently and have found that I sometimes get this little (perhaps one or two pixels) jitter as I am tracking a moving aircraft. Usually only happens when there are clouds in the background. Makes me think that the Image Stabilizer (Super Steady SHot) is trying to stabilize the background image and not the aircraft?
Does anyone know if this camera uses inertial/gyro sensors for image stabilising, or does it process the image?
Either way, is there a program I can use to take the jitter out?
