Newbie here ---- Need to learn how to put hi-def files to a blu-ray disc......so it will play back on any blu-ray player.

I recorded some tv programming using my hauppauge hd pvr (720p ans 1080i) and need to know how to successfully make a blu-ray video, and not just a bd-rom. The files I recorded are .ts files or m2ts. files. (I would prefer to not have to convert them.)

I have a pioneer blu-ray burner. And 1 bd-rewritable disc that I plan on using a lot since I will likely mess up a lot.

What would be the best software to use to do this? Also, what would be the best software to manually cut out the commericals of tv shows.

I will do some research for sure, but any tips, direction would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    I would try multiAVCHD!

Or maybe tmpgenc authoring works if you want to do some basic editing also.
