  1. HELP!!!!
I accidently installed DirectVobSub (vsfilter) and now I'm trying to completely remove it from my system.
Whenever I try to do that, either by "regsvr32 -u" or by uninstalling vobsub completely using uninstall.exe I end up with DirectShow broken and I am completely unable to play ANY video file.
    Anyone knows a solution?

  2. In the end I found the solution myself.
To completely get rid of dvobsub, it must be unregsvr'ed by every user on the system.

  4. DirectVobSub, is the is loaded upon execution of the VSFilter.dll. It can be installed and then run in your PC
through various video programs/applications (e.g. Avi2Dvd). To remove it, you have to either uninstall the video application
    or do the following:
    - locate (e.g. by search) the VSFilter.dll
    - rename it to e.g. "_VSFilter.bye". If you can't rename it reboot in safe mode and do it.

    this will work for you!!
