Im leaning towards the Mitsubishi at this time for a second D-VHS deck. I already have a JVC DT100 deck. My main concerns about the Mitsubishi are the firewire compatibility issues. I'd like to be able to connect the HD 2000 to a computer to feed D-VHS video to and from the deck. Plus possibly connect it to a digital cable box. The main reason I'd like to get the Mitsu is because it is compatible with HDV video to record onto D-VHS, while the JVC's aren't. Also the Mitsu has the same type of DNR and TBC cleanup as the JVC. But I need to confirm whether the HD 2000 will interface with the above or not. It would seem to be a useless deck if I cannot digitally connect it to another device. My other option is to just get the DH40000u as originally planned and just do without HDV archiving onto tape.
Any comments?
