MKV not work in PS3 by default. U have 3 choices:
- Use a Media Server like Serviio, UMS, Plex - recommended
- Repack to MP4 using some tool like VIDEOREDO (recommended) or try using MKVtoMP4 (sometimes its give stutter or desync)
- Transcode using Ripbot or Megui or preferred encoder using CFR and max profile 4.1/4 frames -
Hmm, the problem I had in the 1st post runs fine but to make it work I have to press the home button and then fast forward a few seconds. If I set the variable frame rate on it runs fine but if I skip/rewind,fast forward the video starts to stutter or whatever. If I drop the frame rate from the normal 23.976 to 20 it'll run fine but the audio be outta sync. Best thing I can do is delete them and download from somebody else, or deal with the 1st issue. All runs fine on computer but problem lies with playing them on ps3.

Update the guy that did the videos tried them out on his ps3 and he didn't have the same problems as me. He said he believe the error may lay with my ps3, or the way I remuxed the files. He remuxed the files to mp4 using ffmpeg and a simple script he wrote to copy the audio and video streams. I just used my regular mkvtomp4 on default then used mp4box and mp4gui and still got the problem. Might be my codecs. No help from you guys at all more like videodon'tcare.
