  1. Hey I'm a newbie to the whole ISO things and I'm not sure what I did but I have an ISO file that I can't delete. I tried rebooting in safe mode and doing all sorts of things but it keeps saying that it is in use so it can't delete. I'm not exactly sure what program I used to make it, but I'm sure there is an easy way to get rid of it.

    Thanks a ton
    Tim

    You got sorted yet?

Try this little free prog, it does exactly what it says on the tin! It deletes files locked by your system.

You wouldn't happen to have the ISO image mounted to a virtual drive?

If so unmount the image. This is a common mistake people make. They'll mount the image in order to burn the contents of the ISO and then wonder why afterwards they are unable to delete it.

  6. if you signed in under safe mode the only other reason could be permissions. Was this created under a different login? login as admin and delete it. Also try to rename it , see if it takes it then you can reboot and delete it.

delete it in a dos prompt after killing off the explorer.exe process. then just restart explorer process.
