OK this one is a little confusing to me, why would some movies come out perfectly & some will have a little poping in sound, especially when the audio gets lauder, for example during some high action battles.
I am using DVDx to convert from a ripped DVD to Divx, I have followed the DVDx step by step, I did for example ( testing it ) Harry Potter movie & it came out perfect, but then I did Star Trek: First Contact & that one has a little pop in the audio. I have kept the settings the same ( except for the bit rate )
Now, I did this Star Trek with Flask before & I had that poping too, but when I watch this movie on my DVD Player it works fine.
    Any ideas?
Am using Divx 5.02, Lame MP3 codec for audio.
Used Smart Ripp for the DVD rip
    Thanx

You might try using another audio track, for example I tried ripping Titanic and got the popping sounds with the Dolby Surround soundtrack, but when I used 5.1 Surround track I didn't the popping sounds.

    Hope this helps
